You will live forever in our memories and hearts.

The Obituary ...

In loving reverence, I pause to give a lasting tribute to my husband, Mr. Allen Stribling.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.

Allen was a mathematician, mentor, hard worker, helper, thrifty, organized, obstinate, and a man of his own standards.

He was born July 17, 1956 in Cleveland, Cuyahoga County, Ohio to the union of the late Mr. Hoye Wiley Stribling, and the late Mrs. Louise C. Stribling-Lee.

Allen was the 5th of 12 siblings, preceded in death by three brothers: Bert Lee, Silas Lee, III, and Louis Stribling.

Allen grew up in Cleveland Ohio.  During his youth, he attended East High School, and worked various jobs to help his family.  In 1976, on January 19th, Allen joined the Marine Corps and became a computer operator.  While in the Marine Corp, he continued his education at Escondido Union High School in California, and graduated.

While in Cleveland, Ohio, Allen had met a young lady for whom he had deep feelings.  Her name was Miss Alida Saddler-Woodgett.  Allen fathered a child with her, Allen Stribling, Jr.  They wed on September 27, 1980.   He lived in Triangle, Virginia for a couple of years, then moved to his duty station in California, where he resided for several years.

After his release from the United States Marine Corp, Allen worked various other jobs, later venturing out into his own detail business, which he called "Buff King."   Finally, in 1994, Allen migrated to Alabama to be with his wife, who had already returned to Randolph County to assist her invalid father, the late Mr. Robert Woodgett.

In Alabama, Allen found employment with Welburn Cabinets in Ashland.  He enjoyed living in Alabama, learning different things about farming.  After a short stay at Wellburn he decided to make another move and went to work for ProBuilt.   But, later returned to Wellburn Cabinets.

Allen resided with his wife, Alida Stribling, until he departed this life on Christmas evening, December 25, 2008, at the Clay County Hospital and Nursing Home in Ashland, Alabama.  He gave many smiles to the world and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Allen Stribling is survived by his devoted wife Mrs. Alida Stribbling of Wedowee, Alabama; and one son, Mr. Allen, Stribling, Jr., of Riverside California; three grandchildren: Yasmine Jimenez-Stribling, Rugayyah Majied Muhammad-Stribling, and Alyssa Jimenez-Stribling all of Riverside, California.  He is also survived by a step-father, Mr. Silas Lee of Cleveland, Ohio;  two (2) brothers: Wiley Moseley and Larry Lee;  six (6) sisters:  Shinita Moseley-Prowell, Margaret Stribling, Joyce Stribling-Clark, Lucille White, Viola Stribling and Janise Stribling all of Cleveland, Ohio;  two (2) aunts: Elizabeth Hughes and Gertrude Smith both of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and three (3) uncles: Melvin Stribling, Elijah Stribling and Roger Shields of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and great host of nieces, nephews, many other loving relatives neighbors and friends.

A Tribute To You, by Alida Stribling

"Another Place"

Although you may have wanted me to stay,

This is God’s intended way.

Now, I have entered into my spirit phase

To give praise to God's amazing grace.

I fought a good fight going about my life from day to day.

It was time and God gave me rest.

I will stay alive in memories and in hearts

Surely in a very big way.

A loving husband father, grandfather, brother and friend

You just remember that

This is not the end...

To my most beloved husband and precious love:

I will always carry you in my heart…

The love you showed will always bring love, warmth, and pleasant memories of you.

You will surely be missed …

Although knowing that you are at peace

in God’s unchanging hands leaves me at peace with God’s decision.

Your legacy of love with me, will continue on.

I will always carry you with me in my heart.

My first love

Always loving you

Mr. Allen Stribling
